eSense Software, the leading provider of IT-based business solutions, recently made several substantial contributions to the Hikmat Road Safety Initiative (HRS); an initiative that aims to help reduce the increasing number of traffic accidents in the country by improving road safety.
After evaluating the areas wherein its contribution would be most beneficial, eSense supported the implementation of road safety measures in schools zones, to serve Al-Nuzha Secondary School for boys and Al-Nuzha Elementary School for boys located in the capital Amman. The company announced that similar measures will be implemented soon in other school districts.
According to statistics, road safety is one of the major concerns for Jordan and needs the collaborative efforts of the government along with private sector and the civil societies, a combination that proved to be successful in 2008.
"Our involvement comes as part of its commitment towards the community, especially in improving the road safety in our country, as the number of serious accidents is dramatically increasing every year," said Samer Maslamani, eSense C.E.O. "We are honored to contribute to the HRS Initiative as it is abating one of most serious problems facing our society today."
It is worth noting that the HRS initiative was launched after the tragic death of Hikmat Kaddoura, the 17 years old student in 2008. The initiatve has secured safer conditions to more than 100 schools in 2008, with a similarly effective plan slated for the coming year.
